“Be gentle with yourself, you are doing the best you can.” – Daily reminder I just may have stumbled upon one of the most delicious flavor combinations!
If you have never had a lychee or rose flavored anything you are missing out! What’s even better is combining those two flavors into a yogurt based drink called a lassi.
Lassi is a popular Indian yogurt based drink. Normally made from full fat yogurt, blended with spices, fruits and syrups. This is a lighter version of that popular drink. I used nonfat yogurt and low fat sour cream, along with some canned lychees (in syrup), rose syrup and rose water.
Think of a lassi as a lighter version of a smoothie. This works as a great alternative for a morning smoothie. Plus it feels like a treat with each sip! For some fanciness: add some of the rose syrup to the bottom of the cup and then pour in the lassi.
I poured this drink into 4 champagne glasses and then topped with some edible rose petals. As I did this I realized what a great party drink this would be. Try it out for a bridal shower or baby shower drink!
I have included links in the notes section, to similar products I used, that can be found on amazon. But I purchased the products from an Indian supermarket. The rose syrup, rose water & canned lychees can be found in both Asian & Indian supermarkets (and much cheaper than amazon).
This is definitely my new go to drink!! I am obsessed with it. Hope you like it just as much as I do!
