Have you guys tried tajin seasoning?? It’s this spicy chili lime ish spice which tastes heavenly sprinkled on some mangos!
Since summer is only a couple short months away, I wanted to think of a sweet tooth recipe that felt indulgent in taste but not in ingredients or calories. And here you have it!
A mango tajin sorbet. All you need is 3 ingredients! 3! It is refined sugar free and vegan. If you do not have agave, feel free to use honey. Keep in mind using honey will change up the vegan part of this – but if you don’t mind … I don’t mind!
I used my Vitamix blender for this recipe, but any high speed blender will work. Make sure you freeze in air tight containers and allow the sorbet to defrost a bit and then feel free to enjoy!
Mango Tajin Sorbet
Ingredients
- 2 cups mango cubes frozen (about 14-16 ounces)
- a sprinkle of tajin seasoning
- 1/4 – 1/2 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup agave
For garnish
- Tajin seasoning
Instructions
-
Place all ingredients in a high speed blender. Process until smooth. (Start with a 1/4 cup of water first and depending on your blender, gradually add a little bit of water at a time until smooth. I used about 1/2 cup of water)
-
Scoop into a tray / container and freeze for 2 hours or until desired texture is reached. Allow to defrost a couple of minutes before enjoying.
-
Serve with some more tajin seasoning sprinkled on top!
Recipe Notes
If you don’t have agave, feel free to substitute with honey or any sweetener of choice. You can also omit any added sweeteners.
